Knowle Country House Wedding Photography
Knowle Country House is a beautiful wedding venue was build around 1857 by the local Vicar. The property he was living in, called Gads Hill Place, was sold to Charles Dickens in 1856. Charles allowed the Vicar to stay at Gads Hill until Knowle was built in 1857 and the vicar could then move in. They became friends and Charles spent a lot of time at Knowle. In 1980 the property was transformed into a country restaurant and wedding venue.
This wedding was in March 2026, on a fabulously warm, early spring day. The bride got ready at the venue. The weather held and they managed to have a gorgeous wedding ceremony outside in the picturesque grounds.
Favourite Wedding Photo
I love this photo. You don't see many dips during the first dance, and you see even less that happen right in front of the camera allowing me to capture this wonderful moment with the guests looking on in the background. I really like how every guest is actually watching the couple do their first dance which is not always the case these days. Lots of the time at weddings, guests tend to watch the first dance through their phones whilst filming.
Father of the Bride
One of my favourite moments at every wedding is when the Father Of the Bride sees his daughter in her dress for the first time. Often a time of great emotion and a wonderful memory to capture for them both to cherish. Behind there camera I often have a small, happy tear as a father myself.
