Wedding Photography in Rochester
Wedding at The Vines
The first part of the year is always very busy in terms of running the business with lots of little jobs to complete to get ready for the new wedding season but it is quiet in terms of photographing weddings. Not many couples choose to have their wedding when the weather is that unpredictable, so it wasn't until March 2023 that I photographed my first full wedding of the year.
It was also my first Nigerian wedding, and I absolutely loved it! The music, the energy and the love that shone out was breathtaking. The wedding took place at The Vines in Rochester, a wedding at The Vines is always a great day but this was was truly exceptional.
The Vines is situated just one or two minutes on foot from Rochester castle and Rochester Cathedral. The building itself was formally The Old Archdeaconry and originally built in 1661.

My Favourite Photo
The modern traditional wedding service is often a quiet, short affair, with a few words exchanged between the happy couple. If the wedding is in a church then sometimes there is often a hymn or two sung. This particular wedding service was anything but quiet, the music was flowing, every guest was in full voice, the energy was on another level and you could really feel the love in the room.
This photo of the bride and groom was taken mid way through a song during their wedding service. I have chosen this as my favourite photograph as to me this photo captures some of the love and passion they both have for their religion and each other.
A Beautiful Moment
This photo shows the mother of the bride saying prays for the bride before the wedding service. Several members of the brides family came into the bridal prep room, one at a time, to see the bride in her dress and to say their own prays for her marriage.
