Stanhill Court Wedding
What a stunning wedding venue! Originally built in 1881, Stanhill Court has that classic Sussex brick and hanging tile exterior. Once home to a gentleman called William Young, who along with several others, set up Lloyds of London. In 1986 the great granddaughter of William Young converted the home into a hotel and over the years the building has been expanded. Currently the hotel is set within 35 acres of gardens and woodland.
Stanhill Court is possibly my favourite wedding venue in Surrey. It is beautiful, elegant and with wonderfully conscientious staff who always deliver a fantastic atmosphere every time I have photographed there.
This wedding took place on a beautiful early August day in 2022. A wonderful couple who really made the day their own, with possibly the best wedding favours of the year and a hilarious tie for the father of the bride. You can see both of these in the wedding photos below.
My Favorite Photo
The father of the bride gave his daughter a beautiful hug just after seeing in her wedding dress for the first time. You can see on the gentleman's face how happy he is and how much he loves his daughter.
It's photographs like these, real candid, un-posed moments that really help to tell the true, emotional story of a wedding day.
Best Wedding Favours
These little metal garden spade bottle openers have the couples surnames etched into them. Spear & Jackson are actually a tool company that the couple stumbled upon who sold these. They asked if they could buy quite a few for their wedding and the company sent them all for free! What a wonderful thing to do.
